Overveiew:

Our client is looking for a Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience building data pipelines on AWS. The candidate should have experience working with ETL/ELT workflows, CDC pipelines, and event-driven data processing, along with exposure to modern data warehouse / lakehouse architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable data pipelines on AWS
• Develop batch, incremental, and event-driven ETL/ELT workflows
• Implement CDC (Change Data Capture) based ingestion pipelines
• Build data ingestion flows from relational and NoSQL databases
• Work with data lakes / warehouses / streaming pipelines
• Optimize pipeline performance, reliability, and cost
• Collaborate with backend, analytics, and data science teams

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services such as:
• Glue, DMS, Redshift, S3, Lambda, EMR, Step Functions, Kinesis
• Experience with CDC / event-based / streaming / incremental ETL pipelines
• Experience with Postgres / PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Strong SQL and Python for data processing
• Understanding of data lake / warehouse / ETL architecture

Good to Have

• Experience with Kafka / queue / streaming systems
• Experience with Databricks / Snowflake
• Experience with Airflow or workflow orchestration
• Experience with Spark / PySpark
